The first thing we do upon birth is take a breath, Inspire. The breath gives us life, and from that moment on is part of us, every 6-8 seconds typically, around 22,000 time a day, more than eight million breaths per year. Inspiring and expiring, most of the time involuntarily and unrecognized. In with the new, out with the old. Maybe we should take time every day, many time a day even, to examine our breath, to be Inspiaired to inspire. Let’s look at breathing. There are different types of breathing: quit breathing, diaphragmatic, costal and forced. Our breath is instrumental in our overall health, advantages of deep breathing: a natural painkiller, helps improve blood flow, improves immunity, calms down anxiety, helps sleep, increases energy, improves posture, reduces inflammation and can improve mental health. Deep breathing helps stimulate the vagus nerve, controlling mood, digestion, and heart rate.  The breath brings fresh oxygen into our lungs that supplies our entire body with the energy needed to survive. Being grateful for this bodily activity should be re-visited routinely. Being grateful can start with one big breath, and saying (feeling) Thank You for this seemingly insignificant activity that started our life, and is with us throughout our entirety.
